Dennis de la Serna has been named president and chief executive officer of the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM).
De la Serna was formerly first vice president for regulatory affairs of Aboitiz Power Corp.
PSALM said its governing board had elected de la Serna yesterday following the release by Malacañang of his appointment as acting leader of the firm last September 15.
PSALM added de la Serna will now lead in optimizing the proceeds from the sale of power generation and real estate assets, settling the outstanding financial obligations and liabilities of the corporation inherited from the National Power Corp., and administering the Universal Charge, among other matters.
Fe la Serna is a returning official as he used to supervise PSALM’s universal levy, tariff and financial valuation department from 2002 to 2008.
De la Serna also served as contracts manager at AES Philippines.
