International renewable energy (RE) developer Goldwind has signed an agreement with The Blue Circle (TBC) for the development of the 100.8 megawatts (MW) Kalayaan 2 wind project in Laguna.
In a social media post Monday, Goldwind said the signing with TBC was made last April 22.
The Laguna wind project is set to deploy 17 units of 6 MW wind turbines, the company said in its statement.
Goldwind said it will offer a full suite of services from supply and transportation to installation, commissioning and a 10-year maintenance program for the project.
Its inaugural wind project in the Philippines is also poised to provide comprehensive energy solutions, contributing to the RE transformation in the region and beyond, the company added.
Goldwind is headquartered in China but has a portfolio of projects located in 38 countries, with eight research and development centers worldwide.
The company also has so far delivered over 50,000 wind turbines all over the world with a global cumulative installed capacity exceeding 115,000 MW and an operations and maintenance service capacity exceeding 64,000 MW.
TBC is an international RE firm that identifies, develops, finances, owns and operates RE projects in complex and challenging geographies of the Asia-Pacific region.
