Foreign firms eye data center projects

Diode Ventures LLC (USA) and ENDECGROUP Inc.  are readying substantial investment plans in hyperscale datacenter and renewable energy generation projects in the Philippines, according to the Board of Investments (BOI).

Diode Ventures president  Brad Hardin and ENDECGROUP chief executive officer William Johnson met BOI managing head Ceferino Rodolfo on April 4 as they finalize their business plans in the country.

Rodolfo said the companies are eyeing multiple projects  of 180 megawatts each.

He did not elaborate but said the companies are in  site selection stage.
