The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) yesterday expressed hope the ban on the Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) would improve bilateral ties of the Philippines and China which had long clamored for the ban.
In a statement yesterday, FFCCCII president Cecilio Pedro said the group supports the decision of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on the total ban on POGOs this year, adding this will improve the Philippines’ international public image and enhance peace and order.
“Together with the de- escalation of the tension in the West Philippines Sea, this is definitely the right direction towards a more positive growth for (the) Philippine economy in the years to come,” Pedro said.
