Listed renewable energy developer, Repower Energy Development Corporation, booked a 65 percent jump in its net income for the first half of 2025, reaching P152.20 million from P96.58 million in the same period last year.
The company stated on Tuesday that favorable hydro conditions and minimal natural disasters are key factors for its strong performance for the period.
REDC added that its revenues for the first half of the year also grew by 28 percent to P359.61 million from P281.35 million, as its power generation also surged by 29 percent to 59.77 million kilowatt hours (kWh) from 46.32 million kWh in the first half of 2024. Owing to this performance, the company said it is still expected to improve further as its Cabanglasan hydropower plant in Bukidnon is on track for commissioning within the third quarter of the year.
Transmission line works were completed last July.
“2025 is shaping up to be a banner and transformative year for REDC, proving that efficient operations and dependable hydro resources can power both the community and the company’s strong financial results,” Eric Roxas, REDC president and chief executive officer, said.
