Eastern Communications yesterday said it has allocated around P3 billion for capital expenditure this year to further expand its services in key provinces nationwide.

Eastern is expected to become available in the cities of Legazpi, Sorsogon, Naga, Bacolod and Dumaguete by the first quarter of the year.

The company is also expanding to Kalibo, Boracay, Zamboanga, Butuan and Bohol by the second quarter.

“This expansion will enable more businesses outside Metro Manila to accelerate their productivity, enhance their capabilities, and eventually provide more opportunities in their communities,” said Vince Tempongko, Eastern Communications co-coordinator.

Last year, Eastern completed the rollout of its services in Tuguegarao, Batangas, Lucena, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro and Davao City, to augment its existing coverage areas in Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Pampanga, Baguio and Cebu. – Myla Iglesias
