With the rampant online scams, finance app GCash in partnership with insurance firm Chubb has rolled out new app features that will protect its users against fraud and scams.
In a press briefing, GCash introduced the country’s first embedded online scam protection for money transfers, Send Money Protect or SMP, that will give users extra protection for their express send transaction for only P30 per month, covering up to P15,000, if they, unfortunately, get scammed.
This new product protects users from the most common scams, like those done by a fake online seller, or scammers who pretend to be someone you know to trick you into sending money via express send.
