THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) yesterday released the guidelines on the minimum health protocol for dine-in restaurants and fastfood establishments.
Dine-in is allowed effective today in areas covered by the modified general community quarantine (GCQ).
In an advisory released yesterday, the DTI said restaurants are to enforce a no mask, no entry policy on customers who will undergo temperature check and will fill out a health checklist prior to entry.
There will be a maximum number of patrons at one time inside the facility to ensure no overcrowding.
The guidelines continue to bar buffet and self-service.
Seating requires a one-meter distance between tables and chairs on all sides. Face-to-face seating will be allowed with proper dividers.
Alternative modes of payment such as digital wallets and ordering and pick-up schemes such as via text or online are encouraged to minimize contact.
Sanitation inside and outside the restaurants is required while workers will observe strict health and sanitation protocols in their workflow.
Dine-in restaurants and fastfood establishments need to comply with these health standards to be allowed to operate.
