D&L Industries Inc. said the privately-owned marketing arm of its sister company, Jadel Holdings, is expanding its product line that highlights D&L’s capacity to manufacture coconut-oil based products in the country.
The marketing arm, Consum er Care Products Inc. (CCPI), last week unveiled new liquid body soap, Dr. Coco Natural Body Soap, that is not petroleum-based.
“Since it uses coconut oil, there is no toxic ingredient inside and it is biodegradable. So it’s better for our health and better for the environment,” said Alvin Lao, D&L president.
Lao said the launch of Dr. Coco Natural Body Soap follows the success of Jadel Holdings’ germicidal Dr. Coco Natural Hand Soap.
Lao said the Dr. Coco soap products are positioned to the upscale market which has a growing preference for healthy and all-natural products.
“These are the types of products that we’re going into more in our group. Our group is really known for business to business (B2B) where our products are bought and used by other companies. But we are now making more consumer products,” Lao said.
