DigiPlus Interactive Corp. said it will continue to use its technological capacity to institute programs that will foster public good amid the adoption of digital technology.
This follows as the company was cited for the second year in a row for its good governance initiatives.
“As the use of digital technology grows, DigiPlus remains committed to using that technological capacity to fuel meaningful programs for the public good. The work continues, and we thank all those who support us in this endeavor,” said Andy Tsui, DigiPlus president.
Last week, DigiPlus received two awards from the Cambridge International Finance Advisory (Cambridge IFA) – 3G Best Social Responsibility Campaign Award 2024 for its initiatives under its social development arm, BingoPlus Foundation; and 3G Excellence in ESG Award 2024 for its commitment to the sustainability framework.
The award was given at the recent 9th Global Good Governance (3G) Awards ceremony last week – the first time it was held in the Philippines.
Tsui noted that BingoPlus Foundation’s efforts are built on the following four pillars: technology education, accessible healthcare, community safety and resiliency, and responsible digitalization.
In sustainability framework, DigiPlus’ initiative openly advocates environmental responsibility, employees and workplace, responsible gaming, digital and data security, and good governance.
The 3G Awards recognize efforts of organizations committed to addressing international issues.
Cambridge IFA is a financial services intelligence house that develop analytical tools to find significant trends for application to practical business and international use.
The year prior, DigiPlus received the 3G Championship in Corporate Governance and the 3G Best Social Responsibility Campaign Award for 2023.
“DigiPlus takes pride in this recognition, which is a significant development towards its vision to become the number one diversified leisure and entertainment hub that provides fun and rewarding experiences to people’s lives,” Tsui said.
In March, DigiPlus announced increasing its budget for corporate social responsibility projects this year, allocating P100 million for the initiative from P20 million spent last year.
