DHL Express Philippines continues to expand even as capacities of airlines remain tight, its head of commercial Eric Queppet said.
“Definitely if we see more opportunities… between investing in additional flights and accommodating more customers because of increasing demand, definitely (that) will be part of our plan hopefully soon… in early part of 2022,” Queppet told reporters in a briefing.
The shift to electronic commerce has benefitted not only DHL Express but the entire logistics chain which had a positive impact on topline, Queppet said without disclosing numbers.
The company recently invested P13.4 million to upgrade its fleet to ensure sustainable operations as part of its goal of zero net emissions by 2050.
The company also invested to expand its Cebu facility to cater to its customers in Visayas and in Mindanao.
Most recently, DHL Express bolstered its flight network by adding a sixth flight rotation in Hong Kong-Cebu-Manila-Hong Kong.
DHL Express now operates six dedicated flights between Hong Kong, Cebu and Manila from Monday through Saturday each week with expanded capacity and improved deliveries for both outbound and inbound shipments.
