DFNN trims losses by 16%

DFNN Inc., said it registered a loss of P76.9 million, down 16.68 percent from last year’s P92.3 million.

Revenues reached P268.9 million, down 17.2 percent from last year’s P324.9 million.

Amid the loss, the company said its cash position “remains liquid throughout the six-month period and continues to operate with no significant long-term debt.”

The company said it has registered a “growing sales from InPlay.ph and GTX revenues” amid the dampened economic activity.

“InPlay.ph has proven to be a very successful venture for the Group. With approximately 500 games, providing full confidentiality and 24/7 customer service, it aims to bring legal domestic online gaming services,” it said.

InPlay.ph is the first legal online gaming platform in the Philippines. Launched in November 2020, it provides regulated betting and gaming technology.

For the period, InPlay.ph attracted bets worth P2.5 billion with gross gaming revenue of P113.9 million for the period.

In July, DFNN’s subsidiary iWave, Inc. (iWave), successfully launched the Global Trade Exchange (GTX) platform under its Seychelles subsidiary GlobalTradeX, Ltd., which enables the issuance, custody and trading of digital assets across borders under the jurisdiction of the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).

iWave was awarded a license to operate the Digital Asset Exchange to serve exclusively non-Filipino Clients and non-Filipino Issuers.

iWave’s operation allows for the operation of various financial and capital market services on the platform that includes the trading and settlement of digitized securities, futures, commodities, and derivatives. – Ruelle Castro
