Telecom and digital infrastructure provider ComClark Network and Technology Corp. has signed a joint development agreement (JDA) with Taiwan’s clean energy company, Shinfox Energy, for renewable energy and smart grid projects in the Philippines.
The DTI said in a social media post late Wednesday the partnership aims to develop large-scale solar, wind, and clean energy infrastructure, integrating advanced solutions to build a smarter, more resilient power system for the country.
Shinfox Energy is a publicly listed company in Taiwan with an extensive portfolio of solar, wind, hydropower, and energy storage projects, and also engages in green power sales and AI-enabled energy management.
ComClark is known for its fiber network and cable TV operations under the Converge ICT brand.
The DTI said the agreement calls for cooperation in developing solar photovoltaic power plants, onshore and offshore wind farms, clean energy infrastructure, green power sales and technology integration.
The DTI did not disclose the areas involved or the cost of the projects.
ComClark said the details of the JDA are still preliminary.
The agreement was signed by ShinFox Energy General Manager Hui-Sen Hu and ComClark CEO Dennis Anthony Uy in Taipei on July 3, the DTI said.
