Century Properties Group (CPG) has resumed construction operations after completing the new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) rapid testing of 935 workers and site personnel as well as other requirements from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.

CPG said it has conducted the provision of hygienic on-site quarters and facilities for its project sites in Century City, Makati; the Residences at Azure North in San Fernando, Pampanga; and the Residences at Commonwealth in Quezon City.

In May, CPG also facilitated the testing of more than 800 workers in the five project sites of its affordable housing business PHirst Park Homes located in Tanza, Cavite; Lipa, Batangas; San Pablo and Calamba, Laguna; and Pandi, Bulacan. This brings the total number to more than 1,735 tested construction workers and site personnel.

The company is strictly implementing health protocols such as daily temperature scanning and health monitoring, safety orientations, the mandatory wearing of masks, and observing physical distancing. Handwashing areas are provided and each worker received a health kit with face masks and vitamins.

“Despite the most challenging circumstances, we are forging ahead with construction work to deliver our commitment to our buyers, but with the proper safety measures for our people. Critical health protocols like this contribute to the safety and wellbeing of the communities and cities where we operate in,” said Marco Antonio, CPG president and chief executive officer.
