Century Peak Holdings Corp. said unit Century Peak Cement Manufacturing Corp. (CPCMC) is now selling its products in the Visayas.
This is the company’s first roll out since venturing into cement manufacturing.
The cement products include CPCMC’s Pro (blended hydraulic) and Prime (Portland) cement products, which both received a quality standard certification from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the company said.
CPCMC is the latest player in the Philippine cement market. Its facility in Pinamungahan, Cebu sits two kilometers away from its quarry site that is owned by another Century Peak unit.
“The start of operations comes at a time when post-pandemic recovery expects a rise in construction projects as businesses return to normal,” the company said.
Katrina Keng, CPCMC vice president for finance, said the company is looking at distributing its products to neighboring provinces like Palawan, Mindoro, Bohol and Dumaguete.
Keng noted CPCMC’s plant has its own pier which is located nearby and allows for efficient logistics in getting the cement products via barge transport anywhere in the country, especially in the Visayas.
