Fiber broadband and technology solutions provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. expects its enterprise business to sustain growth this year with its expansion in key provinces.
“We are pleased to see an upswing in our enterprise unit, Converge Business, and we’re bound to see more growth as we introduce new products and services that go beyond connectivity,” said Jesus Romero, chief operations officer of Converge.
“Our expansion into key tourism destinations like Boracay and Palawan will also bolster opportunities to tap both small and large companies in these areas,” added Romero.
Converge has reported that revenues increased by 26 percent year-on-year to P 2.5 billion during the first half of the year on the back of the company’s expansion into new areas, particularly in Visayas and Mindanao, and the launch of innovative products and services that respond to the needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and large corporates.
Converge Business recently showcased its enterprise grade solutions at the grandest retailers’ event of the year, National Retail Conference and Expo, that represents a P600 billion industry.
Leonardo Baniqued, Converge head of innovation and product management, said in his presentation since Converge’s digital infrastructure is already laid out nationwide, it can enable emerging businesses in the budding “digital cities.”
“We have the broadest fiber network in the country and this means that our network is already available in cities that are just planning to shift to digital or even cities that are just being planned. Converge is there from the start,” said Baniqued. – Myla Iglesias
