Fiber internet service provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. was recognized as the top-rated fixed network in the country for the first half of 2022 by Ookla.

This is part of the semi-annual Ookla Speedtest awards reflecting the results from consumer initiated ratings during the six-month period.

“This award confirms the satisfaction of consumers with the range of offers, customer service, and overall experience Converge provides to its subscribers,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, Converge chief executive officer and co-founder.

“Taking home the award only proves that the company’s customer-centric approach is being recognized by its loyal customers,” Uy added.

Last June, the company upgraded the speed of its base FiberX internet plan for free, from 50 megabits per second (Mbps) to 100 Mbps, making it faster than the country’s median average.

Converge said it has also been consistent with its “Go Deep” strategy through the continuous expansion of new serviceable areas and business centers, and growing partner outlets to serve more underserved and unserved areas.

“It’s about showing the Philippines that we have what it takes to give them the best internet solutions. Being able to connect to the internet should no longer be a privilege, but a right of every Filipino. That’s why Converge has been working hard for the past years to deliver fast and reliable internet to the underserved and unserved areas of the Philippines,” said Jesus Romero, Converge chief operations officer.

Converge has over 523,000 kilometers of fiber optic assets nationwide. It has one of the most extensive fiber networks in the Philippines.

Ookla is a global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence, testing applications and related technologies.
