Solarius EV Charging eyes to expand its charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) targeting condominiums.

The company in a statement issued by the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) over the weekend said, EV plans to reach metropolitan cities, aligning with the EV Industry Development Act that mandates 5 percent of parking spaces in condominiums be allocated to EVs.

Solarius EV Charging is a sister company of Solarius Energy established in 2017 as a solar installation firm.

Solarius EV Charging put up its first location in Fairmont Raffles Hotel where it installed three state-of-the-art chargers in the VIP section and one in the basement car park in October 2022. It now has over 30 chargers at around 20 sites, including their milestone project at the Raffles Residences – their first venture into condominium charging solutions.

EVAP quoted Peter Wilson, founder of Solarius EV Charging, said 90 percent of EV charging takes place at home.

“We offer a seamlessly connected network of EV chargers that precisely records each charging session down to the watt hour, ensuring accuracy and transparency,” Wilson said. – Irma Isip
