CEBU Pacific Inc. (CEB) eyes to increase its capacity by 24 to 26 percent next year as it aggressively expands its operations in both domestic and international routes.

“By January next year, we’re now looking at year-on-year growth, seats will grow from 2.3 million a month (2024) to 2.9 million monthly in 2025,” Candice Iyog, CEB chief marketing and customer experience officer, said on Wednesday.

Monthly flights will also increase from 12,000 in January 2024 to 15,000 flights per month by next year.

The major hubs include Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Clark.

“In terms of number of seats, we expect Manila to grow by 14 percent while Cebu hub will grow by 67 percent, Clark by 102 percent, Davao by 81 percent and Iloilo by 67 percent,” Iyog added.

CEB is also expanding its route from 104 to 116 by yearend.

The company has strengthened its domestic and international operations with the launch of 24 additional routes that expanded CEB’s connectivity.

In the first nine months of the year, it reported total revenues of P74.5 billion, higher by 11 percent than in the same period last year.

The growth was driven by the 17.5 million passengers it has flown, a 13 percent increase year-on-year, generating an average seat load factor of 85 percent, the airline said. CEB ended September with a fleet of 91 aircraft, 10 aircraft more than the same period last year. It also invested in 10 additional spare engines to sustain its growth and improve operational reliability, the airline said.
