Cebu Pacific (CEB) is set to launch its second destination in Taiwan this August for as low as one peso one way.
Starting Aug. 16, 2024, CEB will expand its international network with the operation of flights between Manila and Kaohsiung thrice a week — every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
CEB said with its signature piso sale, travelers may book flights from May 30 to June 13 to Kaohsiung for as low as P1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges. The travel period is from August 16 to October 25, 2024.
“We are very excited to launch direct flights to the wonderful city of Kaohsiung. With the growing interest among passengers to travel to new destinations, we hope that this launch will encourage them to add another destination to their itinerary or cross off one they’ve been looking to visit,” Xander Lao, CEB president and chief commercial officer, said in a statement.
At present, CEB flies twice daily to Taipei, and Kaohsiung will be the second destination, granting passengers more affordable options to visit Taiwan.
With CEB’s Manila-Kaohsiung flights, travelers can cruise along the city’s famous Love River, experience the Hakka culture in Meinong, or visit the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts. The city is a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and travelers with an appreciation for different cultures and unique artifacts.
Passengers may use their existing travel funds to book flights and avail of other add-ons, CEB said. It also offers multiple payment options, including payment centers, credit or debit cards, and e-wallets.
CEB currently flies to 35 domestic and 25 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
In the first quarter of the year, CEB generated P25.3 billion in revenues, up 21 percent from the previous year driven by the continued increase in passenger volume.
CEB flew over 5.5 million passengers, marking a 14 percent increase from the same period last year.
