CEBU Pacific (CEB) has resumed the operation of its Manila to Kaohsiung, Taiwan route as part of its expansion across Asia.
Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista and Civil Aeronautics Board executive director Carmelo Arcilla graced the ceremony held prior to the flight’s departure on August 16, to official relaunch the thrice weekly flights between Manila and Kaohsiung.
In his speech at the event, Michael Ivan Shau, CEB chief corporate affairs officer, said the Manila-Kaohsiung route marks an exciting chapter in the airline’s journey as it continues to expand its network and enhance connectivity across Asia.
“The relaunch of this route is more than just the restoration of a connection between two vibrant cities. It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to bringing people together, fostering closer ties, and promoting mutual growth and development,” Shau added.
Bautista also lauded CEB for its ongoing initiatives catering to travelers from the Philippines.
“I am very happy Cebu Pacific is expanding its operations. We have the same objective of providing comfortable, accessible, safe, sustainable, and affordable travel experience to the riding public,” Bautista said in his speech.
As an added treat, CEB said from August 16 to 25, travelers may book flights from Manila to Kaohsiung for as low as P1,288 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges.
The travel period is from Aug. 16, 2024, to Jan. 31, 2025.
CEB operates in 35 domestic and 26 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
