Cavitex Infrastructure Corp. (CIC) yesterday said it has completed the P78-million heavy maintenance project in Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex).

CIC, the concessionaire of Cavitex, along with its joint venture partner the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) said the project, started last February, involved rehabilitation and repair of road surface distresses such as pavement fractures, distortions and disintegration along Longos, Bacoor Entry and Exit to Cavitex, and 1-kilometer portion of the mainline carriageway of Wawa Bridge to Zapote Interchange (Cavite and Manila-Bound).

“With the recently completed heavy maintenance project in CAVITEX, we now have safer carriageways and smoother roads that help improve the overall driving experience of our motorists. Despite challenges brought about by the pandemic, we continue to invest on projects that will ensure safety and convenience of our toll road users,” said Roberto Bontia, CIC president and general manager.
