The Philippines also hosts the milestone 8,000th store globally, located in Mall of Asia.

Jared de Guzman, customer director, said Watsons has also been expanding its online channels and has introduced innovations like Click & Collect and Self-Checkout as part of its Offline+Offline strategy.

De Guzman said Watsons is also committed to bring more pharmaceutical and health and wellness products as it grows its consumer base.

Watsons has 16 million members and attracts 100,000 customers daily.

De Guzman said the company is also actively expanding its sustainable choices product lineup to provide more eco-conscious options. It has offerings in Clean Beauty, Better Ingredients, Refills, and Better Packaging solutions.

Watsons plans to transition all stores to plastic-free packaging by 2025, in compliance with the Extended Producer Responsibility Law.
