The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) said it raised P12.8 billion out of the scheduled P15 billion treasury bills auction Monday.
The BTr fully awarded the 364-day treasury bills, while partially awarding the 91- and 182-day securities.
The 364-day paper fetched an average rate of 5.717 percent.
The 91- and 182-day securities were capped at 4.664 percent and 5.437 percent, respectively.
The auction was 1.4 times oversubscribed, attracting P21.6 billion in total tenders, with the 91-day IOU attracting bids worth P6.09 billion; the 182-day securities, P7.82 billion; and the 364-day paper, P7.72 billion.
National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon said the BTr partially awarded the 91- and 182-day maturities “to ensure rates are within secondary levels.” – Ruelle Castro
