BTr partially awards Tbills

The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) has partially awarded the treasury bills auctioned yesterday as rates were capped across all tenors.

The auction was 1.2 times oversubscribed, attracting P17.4 billion in total tenders.

With its decision, the BTr raised P9.2 billion of the P15 billion total offering.

Rates for the 91-, 182- and 364-day IOUs were capped at 6.15 percent, 6.266 percent and 6.286 percent, respectively.

Had full awards been made, the rate would have been 6.225 percent for the three-month paper, 6.425 percent for the six-month securities and 6.395 percent for the one-year treasury bills.

Broken down, the BTr awarded P2.954 billion, P2.67 billion and P3.595 billion for each tenor, respectively.

The BTr is set to auction nine-year treasury bonds today.

The programmed offering will have a volume of P30 billion. – Angela Celis
