Benguet Corp. registered a net income of P1.4 billion in 2021 from P381 million in 2020.
The company attributed the better financial performance to strong metal prices and higher global demand for raw materials as global economies recover amid the pandemic.
Revenue jump by almost 138 percent to P3.8 billion from P1.6 billion.

The company said 72 percent of the revenues were contributed by its nickel operations while gold provided 25 percent and the remaining 3 percent from lime operations and healthcare business.
