Lithiom-io battery maker StBattalion Pte. Ltd. is set to start production of its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery used for solar power in Filinvest Innovation Park in Filinvest New Clark City (FIP-NCC).
This follows after the formal turnover of the FIP-NCC’s ready-built factory (RBF) to StB GIGA, the newly established Philippine entity of StBattalion.
StB GGIA is jointly owned by StBattalion and St Baker Energy Innovation Fund.
The 5,000-square meter RBF unit is a Grade-A modern industrial space, designed for seamless integration and immediate operational use by businesses, according to FIP-NCC.
StBattalion is investing $10 million for the manufacturing plant for solar power use in FIP-NCC, set for operations by next year.
The plant will have an initial output of 150 megawatt hour per year, rising to full first stage production capacity of 1.2 gigawatt hours by 2030, according to Trevor St Baker, StBattalion director.
