Balai ni Fruitas Inc. recorded a 68-percent increase in profit in the first half of the year to P25 million from P14.88 million in the same period last year.
Revenues grew P72 percent to P249 million from P144.77 million.
The company opened 17 stores to close at 115 as of end June from 98 in end-2022 of which 64 are Balai Pandesal outlets and the rest Buko ni Fruitas and Fruitas House of Desserts outlets.

Balai said earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortization was at P29 million, up 18 percent on the back of economies of scale and better retail performance.
The company closed the period with a cash position of P290 million, up from P255 million in end-2022.
