AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) has acquired two logistics parks, expanding its cold storage and dry warehousing portfolio, the company said on Tuesday.

A unit of property developer Ayala Land Inc., ALLHC acquires, develops and operates industrial parks and real estate logistics facilities in the country.

In a statement, ALLHC said it acquired 3M Pangasinan in Barangay Catbalan, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. It also bought 3M Iloilo in Barangay Lupa, Santa Barbara, Iloilo.

“This acquisition is a significant step in our ongoing effort to expand ALLHC’s logistics footprint across the country. With the addition of Artico Urdaneta and Artico Iloilo, we are strengthening our ability to support businesses in key regional hubs,” Robert Lao, ALLHC president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

The acquisition expands ALLHC’s ALogis portfolio, adding over 15,000 square meters of gross leasable area and bringing its dry storage total leasable area to around 355,000 sqm.

The properties will add 11,200 pallet positions, bringing ALLHC’s total cold storage capacity to 31,500 pallet positions, the company said without disclosing the transaction costs of its latest acquisitions.

This represents a 55.17 percent increase from its current capacity of 20,300 pallet positions.

The newly acquired properties are equipped with cold storage facilities, and will operate as Artico Urdaneta and Artico Iloilo. These are the sixth and seventh additions to its Artico Cold Chain brand, ALLHC said.

Artico Urdaneta is accessible via the Urdaneta-Mapandan Road and MacArthur Highway. It features 7,400 pallet positions across 15 cold rooms.

Artico Iloilo is directly connected to the Iloilo-Sta. Barbara Road. It provides 3,800 pallet positions across eight cold rooms.

Both sites are registered with the National Meat Inspection Service, the Bureau of Plant Industry and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.

“These facilities cater to businesses in need of both temperature-controlled and dry storage solutions, particularly in Pangasinan and Iloilo – two regions known for their seafood and agricultural industries,” the company said.
