Ayala Corp. said profit for the first half of the year hit P10.39 billion, up 30.85 percent from last year’s P7.94 billion.
Revenues reached P121.98 billion, up 23.56 percent from P98.72 billion last year.
The company attributed the growth from the “low base” of the previous year’s results “when the metropolis was under a higher quarantine status.”
Ayala said its unit Ayala Land Inc., posted profit of P6 billion, up 34 percent on revenues of P49 billion, up 19 percent.
Bank of the Philippine Island’s profit hit P11.8 percent, up one percent, due to “lower loan loss provisions.”
Globe Telecom Inc. posted profit of P13 billion, up 13 percent on higher gross service revenues.
AC Energy Corp. posted profit of P2.7 billion, up five percent as power demand returned to pre-pandemic levels.
AC Energy revenues amounted to P13.4 billion, up 35 percent.
AC Industrials narrowed its net losses to P592 million from P1.8 billion in the previous year as better results were recorded across its subsidiaries, including Integrated Micro-electronics Inc. IMI and AC Motors.
AC Industrials revenues totalled P40.7 billion, up 32 percent.
Manila Water’s profit hit P2.7 billion, up 10 percent.
