Asialink Finance Corp.has been named the Philippines’ financing company of the year at the Asian Banking and Finance Awards held in Singapore in recognition of its commitment to financial inclusion.

The company was also recognized for its “SME Financial Inclusion Initiative of the Year”, which highlights its efforts to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises  in the Philippines.

“At Asialink, we firmly believe in the power of financial inclusion and strive to empower MSMEs across the Philippines,” said Ruben Lugtu, Asialink chairman.

“These awards reaffirm our commitment to driving positive change in the industry and fostering growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes,” he added.

Asialink, one of the Philippines’ fastest-growing finance companies, has been serving a larger share of the market, even as it continues to help its core clients — the unbanked and under-served sector.

The company was formed in June 1997, with a capitalization of just P3 million.  It has grown to a group of three lending companies that lend almost P2 billion a month. The group has over 800 employees, thousands of independent loan consultants, and more than 116 branches nationwide.
