Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI) said it grew its profit by 20 percent last year to a record P30.3 billion from the prior year’s P25.25 billion.
Attributable net profit stood at a new high of P19.6 billion, reflecting a 21 percent increase from the year before.
Revenues grew 15 percent to P211.2 billion from P183.6 billion.
Megaworld Corp. posted revenues of P69.7 billion, up 17 percent from P59.5 billion the year before, driven by a 16 percent growth in real estate sales, a 54 percent growth in revenues from its Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and 46 percent from Megaworld Hotels, apart from the 3 percent rise in rentals of Megaworld Premier Offices.
Megaworld’s office spaces, malls, and Metro Manila hotels stood at 88 percent, 93 percent, and 67 percent, respectively, AGI said in a statement. Reservation sales surged anew to P139 billion, boosted by project launches during the year amounting to P73 billion,” it added.
Travellers International Hotels Group Inc., which operate Newport World Resorts (NWR), posted revenues of P3.19 billion, up 19 percent.
Hotel and other revenues grew 40 percent to P7.4 billion, while gross gaming revenues were up 7 percent to P34.2 billion.
The group’s distilled spirits business meanwhile posted a 5 percent growth in revenues to P65.6 billion from P62.8 billion. Profit however dipped 10.5 percent to P6.64 billion from P9.65 billion.
The Philippine master franchisee for McDonald’s, Global Arches Development Corp. (GADC), on the other hand posted a 24 percent growth in revenues to P42.8 billion from P34.4 billion. Systemwide sales grew 22 percent, with same store sales up 15 percent.
