AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. has topped off the first of a three-building ML1 data center in Biñan, Laguna late last month in time for its operation by the fourth quarter of the year.
“The three-building carrier-neutral campus is designed to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency, scalability and security, with a focus on site resiliency and reliability,” the company said in a statement.
“With the completion of the first building’s structural framework, the data center is slated to begin operations in the fourth quarter with an initial 6MW (megawatts) capacity ready for service,” it added.
The company is looking to build a 36 MW data center in Biñan to serve as alternative sites away from mature markets like Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Australia.
The company tapped a 10-year, P2.4-billion loan from Land Bank of the Philippines to partially finance the construction of the Biñan data center, Phase 1A.
The loan is part of a P10.8-billion loan facility the company eyes from Landbank, to be tapped in tranches.
The data center is being developed under AyalaLand Logistics’ unit A-FLOW Properties I Corp., a joint venture between AyalaLand Logistics and FLOW Digital Infrastructure.
