Expressway operators Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) and San Miguel Corp. (SMC), are ready to implement a cashless toll collection system by November 2 but they will still allow the entry of motorists without Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), according to the Toll Regulatory Board .
Motorists that have yet to go cashless will led to a nearby area for their RFID subscription before being allowed to proceed with their expressway travel.
MPTC, operator of North Luzon, Subic-Clark-Tarlac, Manila-Cavite, C5 Link and Cavite-Laguna expressways, said motorists can still have the Easytrip RFID stickers installed on their vehicles even beyond November 2.
