ACEN Corp. has approved the development of up to 335 megawatts (MW) wind power project located in the provinces of Laguna and Quezon.
The project, which will be developed through subsidiary Giga Ace 6, is qualified for incentives under the second Green Energy Auction (GEA-2), the company said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday.
In a separate statement, ACEN said at present, it is not keen on taking a partner for the project.
Based on data from the Department of Energy, 230 MW of Giga Ace 6’s Isla Wind Power project has qualified under GEA-2 for an offer price of P5.7886 per kilowatt hour. This is set to start producing energy by Dec. 24, 2026.
