ACEN expects to complete by 2024 two wind power plants with a combined project cost of P17 billion.
These are the 70 megawatts (MW) Caparispisan II being developed by Amihan Renewable Energy Corp. and the 160 MW Balaoi and Caunayan projects being constructed under Bayog Wind Power Corp.
Both are located in Ilocos Norte and are qualified to the Green Energy Auction Program of the Department of Energy.
Eric Francia, ACEN president and chief executive officer, said in a briefing on Wednesday the 160 MW project is set for completion next year while the 70 MW wind power plant is scheduled for completion by 2024.
Earlier this week, the company also announced it is set to complete three solar projects with a total capacity of 458 MW next year.
