ACEN Corp. is stepping up the development of its renewable energy (RE) project portfolio by another 2 GW per year to hit the 20 GW target by 2030.
“…We have to ramp up or step up or go beyond 1 GW per year because if we stay at 1 GW per year with eight years to go, we’re not gonna get to 20 GW and we’ll just get the 12 GW mark. At some point, we need to step up that pace over time,” said Eric Francia, ACEN president and chief executive officer, in a briefing last week.
Francia said at present, ACEN has around 2.4 GW of projects under construction, 1.6 GW of which are in “very advanced stages and near completion.”

Francia said ACEN has over 4 GW of capacity, operating and under construction.
