The Aboitiz Group signed different agreements related to energy supply as well as for disaster and climate-resiliency.
Aboitiz Power Corp. through its retail electricity supply company Advent Energy, Inc., signed contracts for two Visayas-based customers who have chosen to shift to renewable energy (RE) to run their manufacturing plants under the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP).
Under the deals, Advent Energy will supply energy from RE sources to car builder NKC Manufacturing Philippines Corp. in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu and sugar producer Victorias Milling Co. in Negros.
The parties did not disclose specific terms of the deal including the capacities involved and their duration.
Under GEOP, consumers are provided with the option to source RE from a licensed supplier as opposed to consuming what is supplied by the distribution utility in their area. Jed Macapagal
