Aboitiz Foods is expecting that its recently launched digital tool will further streamline operations and enhance productivity across its animal nutrition business.

The Aboitiz Foods’ platform called Zoogle has been designed to boost field efficiency by providing sales and technical teams with seamless access to critical, standardized information on demand, the company said in a statement on Tuesday, May 20.

Aboitiz Foods added that since its rollout in December 2024, the platform has supported more efficient customer visits and technical engagements across species, including hogs, rabbits, broilers, layers, ducks, and quail.

The company said the program was also co-developed by its Philippine-based nutrition, innovation and technical research team, and business IT solutions specifically for Pilmico, the Aboitiz Foods’ food and agribusiness subsidiary in the Philippines.

It added that Zoogle has consolidated farm management protocols, feeding guides, product specifications, and performance calculators into one centralized platform and has effectively replaced the previously fragmented systems where individual veterinarians or teams relied on personal files, separate databases, or varied technical references.

“In the past, our teams often used their own frameworks and stored data in siloed formats through spreadsheets, printed materials, brochures, or different digital folders… Zoogle removes that fragmentation and ensures that everyone, across all locations, is working from one clear, validated, and consistent knowledge base,” said Dr. Alvin John Oliveros, Aboitiz Foods product development manager.

The tool also has an offline functionality, designed specifically for teams operating in rural or low-connectivity areas, Aboitiz Foods explained. It added that future versions would include support for milkfish, tilapia, and gamefowl.

“By unifying data, standardizing frameworks, and making everything instantly available, we’re creating faster, leaner, and more reliable operations that benefit both our teams and our customers,” Oliveros added.

Last month, Aboitiz Foods Co. said it has been studying a possible expansion in East Malaysia in 2025.

The company earlier said it would check the feasibility of building an integrated feed-to-farm business model with a local joint venture partner in Malaysia but did not provide further details and definite cost components.

Aboitiz Foods also mentioned plans to construct research and development farms in Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines, in support of the company’s feeds business.
