1.2M homes broke ground in 10 months

More than 1.2 million houses broke ground under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program the nationwide the past 10 months, according to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Marcos led yesterday’s groundbreaking of six 4PH projects in San Jose Del Monte City, Pulilan and San Rafael, all in Bulacan, which are expected to generate up to 30,000 housing units once completed.

Marcos expressed confidence  the government will be able to reach its target to build one million houses per year during his term to address the more than six million housing gap.

The President first inaugurated the nine eight-storey Rising City Residential buildings in a 6.9-hectare land in Barangay Gaya-gaya in San Jose Del Monte City that will include at least 1,890 housing units and a commercial area, followed by the groundbreaking for the 7-hectare San Rafael Heights Development Project in Barangay Caingin in San Rafael which will include 3,920 residential condominium units.

Marcos and Housing Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar also inaugurated the Mom’s Ville Homeowners Association Inc. project in Barangay Penabatan which will be initially composed of eight 10-storey residential buildings with 1,920 housing units in a 2-hectare property in Pulilan.

A total of 12,563 housing units will be constructed during the initial phase of the Bulacan housing projects which would later be expanded to reach 30,000 shelters. – Jocelyn Montemayor
