The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) will issue the final decision by early November on the proposed discount to motorists passing the congested northbound of South Luzon Expressway.
Raymundo Junia, TRB board member for private sector representatives, told reporters the TRB technical working group (TWG) has agreed to give the discount but that the amount is yet to be finalized.
The TWG is waiting for San Miguel Corp. to make an offer on the proposed discount.
Junia said the TRB is looking at implementing the discount in highly-congested in Alabang viaduct and Susana Heights.
“We might apply the discount on the stretch with traffic. It cannot be for the whole stretch.
We will identify how much based on the stretch that is affected by heavy traffic,” he said.
