The Villar group is looking to launch its casino operation by next year, as construction of the 80-hectare casino and entertainment complex at the boundary of Paranaque and Las Pinas is almost complete.
“We will be launching early next year since the casino has already been built,” said Manuel Villar, chair of Vista Land & Lifescapes.
All that is left to be done is the design of the casino, he added,
Villar said the development called Gold Coast Entertainment City will feature hotels, condominiums, a mall, a casino, and a theme park.
The project is located in an area near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
The project will be developed by Villar’s Prime Asset Ventures Inc.–the private investment company headed by Villar’s son Manuel Paolo through wholly-owned subsidiary Vertex Entertainment and Resort Corp.
Villar said some junket operators gave been already applying for the right to bring in high rollers. The casino will be co-managed by a foreign gaming firm.
Villar said the casino will be just one of the attractions of the entertainment component.
