Vallacar elects board

The stockholders of Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI), the country’s largest bus transport company, held their annual stockholders’ meeting last December 7 where they elected their board of directors.

The board subsequently reappointed Leo Rey Yanson as the president of the company.

Under the company’s by-laws, the annual stockholders’ meeting should be held every first Saturday of December at its principal office in Bacolod City.

Pursuant to the by-laws, the company’s stockholders led by co-founder and matriarch Olivia Yanson held the annual stockholders meeting at the company’s principal office at Ceres compound, Barangay Mansilingan in Bacolod City.

The stockholders elected matriarch Olivia Yanson, Leo Rey Yanson, Ginnette Dumancas, Charles Dumancas, Arvin John Villaruel, Anita Chua and Daniel Nicolas Golez as members of the board of directors.

The elected directors will serve for one year until December 2020, or until their successors have been duly elected and qualified.

The meeting was presided over by incumbent VTI chairman and president Leo Rey Yanson, with Olivia Yanson as corporate secretary.
