The Mugen Group, the company that brought the UCC coffee experience to the Philippines, eyes to expand its network by up to 16 branches this year.

Faith Alquiroz, UCC junior marketing manager, last March 8 led the opening of the coffee chain’s 34th store, UCC Mentore, in Shangri-la Plaza Mall.

Alquiroz said UCC  targets to open in Bacolod, Cebu, Dumaguete, Davao, and Bataan in 2024.

Established in 2000, the UCC Brand has emerged to become one of the pioneer coffee brands in the country.

“Our vision is to be the center for coffee education and the choice venue for delightful coffee experiences thereby bringing the best coffee to the world,”  Alquiroz said.

UCC Mentore in Shangri-la Plaza Mall carries UCC’s signature menu items and new food options and offers various coffee from four brewing methods including its syphon, pour over, drip method, cold brew,  and espresso. It also introduces new coffee concoctions like the Kori Kohi, Avocado Coffee, and Ube Latte and the Brendo.

UCC Mentore uses modern equipment for operational efficiency such as the Marco White SP9 Twin, a single serve commercial coffee machine that automates pour-over filter coffee brewing, and the sleek and stylish FRIIA HC Plus hot and cold undercounter water delivery system.
