Harvard-built mobile remittance App TANGGapp will launch their Reverse Padala Product Feature in the Philippines.
The feature will allow Philippine-based account holders to easily send money to loved ones in the US in just a few clicks on their phones.
TANGGapp’s newest service is aimed towards parents who send their kids to college or friends who ask friends for pasabuy requests before they travel home to Philippines. Now, paying someone in the US is now as easy as texting – no need to go to a bank or remittance center. All that’s needed is for the sender and receiver to have TANGGapp installed on their mobile phone with their local bank connected.
Philippine-based users can now send money easily starting with BPI, Unionbank, RCBC, and Chinabank accounts.
TANGGapp has already seen hundreds of millions of Philippine Pesos go through its app. The traction has mostly been organic, showing the market’s hunger for a fast, easy, safe and convenient way to send money abroad.
The company was founded by Rebecca Kersch, a Filipina-Dutch and American Harvard graduate with multiple Master’s Degrees.
TANGGapp was recently recognized in Forbes Asia’s 100 To Watch List for 2023, demonstrating the excitement and need for a new way to send money internationally.
