Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr., president of PAL Holdings Inc., remains confined in a hospital as of yesterday and was in stable condition.
Tan collapsed on Saturday during a basketball game in Mandaluyong City.
“He is stable but still confined,” said Cielo Villaluna, PAL spokesperson, in a text message.
A statement released by Tan family on Saturday said Tan Jr. was to undergo a series of diagnostic tests.
“During this difficult time, the Tan family is requesting media and the public to respect their privacy,” the statement said.
Tan Jr. assumed the post of PAL Holdings president and chief operating officer last October 28, replacing Gilbert Santa Maria who remains president of the flag carrier.
