Taiheiyo Cement Philippines Inc. (TCPI) said it expects to complete its P3.72-billion Luzon Distribution Terminal in Calaca, Batangas, by the second quarter of 2026.

TCPI, headquartered in Cebu, is a subsidiary of Japan’s Taiheiyo Cement Corp.

The Batangas facility is a key component of the company’s broader P21-billion multi-phased investment strategy in the Philippines, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said late Wednesday.

This expansion aims to boost Taiheiyo’s annual production capacity to 4 million tons, up from its current 3 million tons at its Cebu plant.

The company projects the initiative will create 26,000 new direct and indirect jobs.

The DTI added, the terminal will also facilitate wider distribution of blended cement, a product designed to lower carbon emissions through the use of recycled materials, such as fly ash and slag.
