Sta. Lucia Land Inc. said it remains focused on developing projects in the Calabarzon area.

“We have long recognized the Calabarzon region’s potential as a premium investment destination. In fact, much of Sta. Lucia Land’s early growth or so called expansion was within Region IV-A or in the areas of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas and Rizal. We have aggressively expanded in these areas by bringing in some of our finest developments that include world-class golf courses and country clubs, masterplanned residential communities and even hotels and condotels early on,” said  Exequiel Robles, Sta. Lucia Land president.

Robles said given the ongoing flurry of activities in the South, “one can say this is indeed the best place to be in.”

“Given the infrastructure projects being undertaken and planned here, coupled with having a conducive business environment and the availability of a skilled talent pool, the Calabarzon region continues to attract investors, businesses as well as institutions that have helped sustain its robust economic growth,” he said.

Robles noted that various large-scale infrastructure projects–including the construction of new bridges and roads, widening of major thoroughfares and the addition of new highways–are expected to further bring growth within the area.

“As it is, the region already benefits from a number of existing road networks like the South Luzon Expressway and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road . Currently under construction is the 44.63-kilometer Cavite-Laguna Expressway while the proposed Cavite-Tagaytay-Batangas Expressway is a 50.3-kilometer, P22.4-billion project that will bring the South closer to Metro Manila,” he said.

“These will allow for better and more efficient linkages between Metro Manila and the provinces in South Luzon, thus allowing progress to spill over in these areas–much to the benefit of the businesses and residents there,” Robles added.
