PLDT Inc. has deployed fifth generation (5G) technology in preparation for the broadcast of the upcoming Southeast Asian games in Clark, Pampanga.
Oscar Reyes Jr., PLDT senior vice president and head of consumer business-individual group, told reporters the company will use 5G technology to broadcast the sports event in Clark through traditional and digital media platforms that will bring new experience for consumers.
“Yes, the (5G) network in Clark is ready. I think we have a fairly good coverage, definitely in the village there. We launched there before. We have more than 15 sites just in Clark,” Reyes said on the sidelines of the launch of the campaign “Sama-Sama sa SEA Games” official broadcast of the 30th SEA games.
