The Philippines is presenting its advancements in digital governance and its National ID initiative at Identity Week America 2025, taking place September 10-11 in Washington, D.C., the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said on Wednesday.
DICT Undersecretary for e-Government David Almirol Jr. leads the Philippine delegation at the event to showcase the government’s initiatives in enhancing digital trust and innovation across the nation.
Identity Week America is the largest identity-focused event in the United States, attracting more than 3,000 worldwide government and industry leaders in finance, healthcare, and travel.
The Philippine delegation aims to highlight the country’s commitment to strengthening digital inclusion and secure online public services.
“Usec. Almirol will talk about the country’s remarkable journey in e-Government transformation and the National ID initiative, showcasing how the Philippines is embracing digital trust, inclusion, and innovation to better serve every Filipino,” DICT said. — Marlon Magtira
